In line with the Gesalt Principles (Laws) we used Similarity and Continuity as the main principles to balance the elements of UI designs on the app screens.
The Environmental aspects of the design were of course considered in this project given the nature of our topic. With the application/solution being digital the design is very much eco-friendly and the ink that the QR code would be printed with is used with natural inks and the swing tags they are printed on our 100% recycled organic brown paper etc. I also included the icon I designed in Illustrator software to showcase Mulberry's Iconic Handbags.
The objectives and goals of the project were highlighted through the users problem statement. I feel this has been met by designing our digital solution for them. The app was transparent in nature of its purpose, through its clear typography and content, being informative enough about low-impact materials as well as re-cycling and re-selling clothing, but not to much that would overwhelm the users and put them off using it.
Overall I feel our team project was a success with the Research, Ideation and solution being very thorough and insightful. Working as a team was made a lot easier with clear planning/ milestones along the way, so that we could ultimately meet our deadline, breaking down tasks between the three team members was key to the success of the project.
In terms of things we would do differently in doing this project again, would be to get into the researching quicker as we were a bit overwhelmed with such a large topic to cover at the beginning, however considering we had a month to complete this project we have exceeded ourselves with such a short project turnaround.
As a future note for a short design project to complete, I would make sure we break down tasks into smaller tasks and not let any days pass by -planning is key!
