phase 4 & 5 :Prototype & testing

The final stage of the design thinking process is the Prototype and testing stage.

Below, I have explained the steps to using the new feature I have created.

Firstly you will sign up for an Instagram Account.

Then click on the star icon to choose your topics the user would like to have in their rolling news feed and save them in settings.

Swipe down from the top to view Live rolling news feed feature, choosing from topics such as Fashion and Beauty, Sport, Music, Food and General News.

On the far right of the image above you'll see an example of the fashion news, trends, clickable links to fashion magazines and articles. This I feel will benefit my user as she is a designer as well as being in the demographic of typical Instagram users who are young females who for example could be fashion students.

Testing phase 

The results of the testing phase often leads back to other steps in the process:

Uncover problems 

Discover Opportunities

Learn About Users

You can learn if there are any areas for improvement and where it solves the user problem.

Testing can be done remotley or in-person moderated on un-moderated.

Concept testing

A/B Testing

First -click testing

Usability Testing.

I am looking forward to learning more about the testing phase and putting these techniques into practice in future projects as we haven't done the testing phase in project 1.
