Our Final Design idea is an app were you can scan the QR code on the item of clothing/product and it tells a story of how the materials were made and product traceability and a website that communicates best places to re-cycle, re-sell and how -to demonstrations. Also highlights which brands do this in-house.
Above is the User Interface design moodboard based off thier partner brand 'Mulberrys' iconography. We decided on going for deep green, gold black and white to keep in line with the luxurious nature of the brand as well as being clean elegant and natural colouring representing the environmental theme.
Questions we asked our audience/users about our final app design were:
The 5 second - usability testing technique was chosen as a team, so that we could gauge first impressions of the app: whether the navigation was clear, and ask questions on UI related design as well as Accessibility, diversity and inclusivity guidelines been met along with highlighting the ethical concern at hand.
The general consensus from the mini questionnaire was positive; that the app is informative clear in function and 'visually intriguing' to look at as a digital solution. They said that 'you can learn lots from apps like this, which target a wide span of generations'. The one area for improvement would be that the hero page pictures don't look like a buttons to press on. However this would be the case for a touch screen smart phone user.
Overall the feedback was very helpful and paves the way for the future of being Eco-friendly in terms of making users more self-aware when shopping to protect the Environmental Impact and fashion footprint
